I am Daniel Bede, Wood carver from Makó.

I was born in Subotica in 1983, where I spent my youth and completed my schooling.

In 2005, I moved to Makó, where I currently live with my wife and two children. My hobbies included painting and amateur sports such as roller skating, ice skating, soccer, and many more!

I first started working with wood as a raw material in 2009, in the form of carving. At the same time, my desire and passion for creating and for wood began to awaken. I tried to create everything I dreamed of and saw in the wood.

I started my business in 2017, where I take orders for custom pieces and offer my own creations made in my spare time for sale.

My craft’s coat of arms:: woodworking

Ennek a régi szakmának erre a megnevezésére nagyapám ihletett meg, aki jómaga is famíves volt. Hagyományos ács munkáktól kezdve egészen használati tárgyakig és játékokig készített mindent fából, amit csak tudott.

I was inspired to use this old-fashioned term by my grandfather, who was a woodworker himself. He made everything he could out of wood, from traditional carpentry work to everyday objects and toys.

Materials that i work with:

Everything, that’s wood!

My used techniques:

Chainsaw carving, folk carvings, reliefs, sculptures, pyrography, knife carving, log construction, and painting.

Items I make:

Everything that can be made from wood. Without claiming to be exhaustive: wooden bowls, trays, wall pictures, sculptures, doors, railings, houses, half-roofs, masks, furniture… and anything else our customers can dream up!

I think that since then, just like the world, the craft of woodworking has changed a lot. In the past, there were few machines available, so everything was made with hand tools. Today, however, with the help of modern machinery, I strive to keep the traditions of woodworking alive and pass on my passion for wood and creation.
